About this project

The Elsewhere emerged from a coincidence.

By bringing together photographs taken in different places and at different times, the project constructs scenes that do not belong to reality, yet remain strangely believable. Each image exists independently, but only through its encounter with another photograph does a new space begin to emerge.

These places were neither found nor documented. They exist solely in the moment they are observed. Fragments of reality are combined to generate something that belongs to neither image, but to a new visual territory created between them.

The Elsewhere reflects on the way we construct meaning, recognize patterns, and establish connections between seemingly unrelated elements. The photographs become an ambiguous landscape, suspended between memory and imagination, archive and discovery.

The project takes the form of an experimental photobook housed within a wooden structure that functions both as an archive and as a display device.
